Cayahoga National Park & Moundsville, WV

This was a road trip we took to visit a National Park and some places of interest in Ohio and West Virginia.

Monday, May 11 – Tuesday, May 12

Our first location was Nantahala National Forest in the mountains of North Carolina. This provided me with my first attempted at using filters in order to slow my shutter speed down and smooth out some waterfall photos.

Saturday, May 16

After a slow drive north, we visited Cuyahoga National Park in Ohio. We hiked a few trails and explored a boardwalk along with a heronry. I practiced my waterfalls technique, and we truly enjoyed ourselves.

Sunday, May 17

Today we visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio. It was awesome!

Monday, May 18

Because we are a bit into haunted sites, and out of curiosity, we visited Moundsville State Penitentiary in Moundsville, West Virginia. It definitely had a creepy vibe to it – and it made for some interesting photos as well.

Wednesday, May 20

We wrapped up this trip by exploring Mammoth Cave National Park on the way back home. We hiked Turnhole Bend trail while there too. A nice end to this adventure.
