Hot Springs National Park

Hot Springs National Park

Tuesday, November 14, 2017

We stayed the night on the road to Arkansas and then hit Hot Springs National Park the following day.

Hot Springs National Park is the smallest of all the national parks. Located in Arkansas,  it is an urban park featuring a historic row of early 20th-century bathhouses built atop natural hot springs. It has some trails, and walkways, but it is primarily a historic area.

We visited the center, watched a video, read a bit about the history on placards, and then strolled along the row of bathhouses. Aardi “took a bath” at the gift shop.

There was also this really cool mural that I thought was worth sharing – very well done.
