Joshua Tree National Park

When we left the RV Center we made a bee line for Joshua Tree’s South entrance where the desert was in full bloom. We both got out with our cameras and enjoyed some wonderful photo opportunities.

Along the way up the road, we stopped and hiked the Cholla Cactus Garden Trail.

We spent the first night in our RV at Black Rocks Campground in Joshua Tree National Park. We set the beds up as “twin”, which at 23” wide each, was about half the size of a real twin size bed.

We learned the hard way that we need to level the RV for comfort as well as the well being of the RV. We also learned that those “twin” beds were too narrow for us. We made the decision to convert the bed into a “king” size bed (just under a true king size, but that was okay with us.
